John Trewolla, M.B.A. &
Principal Advisor

John loves to tell stories that explain things -- especially complicated things -- in ways that anyone can understand.   For more than 35 years, he has helped folks understand and use complex systems of all kinds.  He uses "plain English" and charts and graphs (with lots of circles and arrows) point out useful, practical ways that tell how "the numbers" can cut costs and improve sales, profits and customer loyalty.

He started in 1964 by designing electronics, communications and computer systems for a variety of businesses.  Then, as a Principal Advisor with Cap Gemini America, Inc., he was responsible for consolidating the disparate information technology systems associated with mergers and acquisitions.  In this role, he resolved many problems with Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems that collected volumes of data -- but produced very little useful information.

Since 2002, John has focused upon finding ways to help management actually use -- and profit from -- "the numbers" from their information technology and CRM systems.

John has earned the Certificate in Data Processing (CDP) and the Certified Systems Professional (CSP) credentials. He has been a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and has earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential.  His M.B.A. degree, with honors, is in Finance and Operations Research from the University of Kansas.   He also has a BA degree in Human Relations & Psychology from KU.  John is a proud member of the scholastic honorary societies of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi and the Theta Tau professional engineering fraternity.
